I was at this fair (and Expo 67). I barely remember it, but these photos bring back some memories. The Fickr comments by Randy Treadway are priceless! MR
I visited the World's Fair of '64-'65 more than 50 times.... Including the opening and closing days of the fair. It was just a short trip on the Long Island RR from my house on L.I. and my cousins and my brother and I never grew tired of it. The pictures bring back fond memories. And the last time I visited my old stmping grounds in NY, 2 years ago, I went for a walk there. I also have many old home movies of the place.... including some of the great fireworks displays they used to have..... But they're all on old 8mm film. One of these days I have to put them on CD so I can watch them again, and dream of my youth.
Ilove the picture and love your website, very interesting! Thanks for turning me onto Club of Rome
