So instead of preventing it from bursting, they just accelerated its flattening.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3904461976821332291.post-73536764117539381862007-07-01T08:50:00.000-04:002007-07-01T08:50:00.000-04:00In the Future, we'll all live in giant snow-globes...In the Future, we'll all live in giant snow-globes apparently.Geoff Holtbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05261688736311163122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3904461976821332291.post-49787063655417865212007-06-29T16:03:00.000-04:002007-06-29T16:03:00.000-04:00I guess everyone assumed that in the paleo-future,...I guess everyone assumed that in the paleo-future, middle aged men like this realtor would still go bald and far-sighted, even though we have treatments for hair loss and laser surgery to correct vision these days. Hard to tell about his teeth, but Robert Heinlein in several of his stories and novels assumes that in "the future," almost all men in their 40's on up wear dentures.Mark Plushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03859046131830902921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3904461976821332291.post-44255791984844758152007-06-29T15:57:00.000-04:002007-06-29T15:57:00.000-04:00@artbot..."I wish people were still painting silly...@artbot...

"I wish people were still painting silly stuff like this today."

Currently we are creating an educational MMO for teaching physics concepts to college freshman. It's set on the Moon and the primary theme is "retro future" and you'll see a lot of this kind of stuff in it. It's a lot easier (and more fun) to do than technically accurate renderings of landers, robots, and so forth.

When we get some screens ready I'm wanting to send them here as I think readers of this blog will like them.Tim Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03905529377341655128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3904461976821332291.post-64072858950018199542007-06-29T12:23:00.000-04:002007-06-29T12:23:00.000-04:00Wow, that's just....words fail me. Where's the spacecraft those folks are EVAing from? Why go into orbit solely to show up at a space-house-dome in person? Why have a dome just floating there? Wouldn't a sphere have been more efficient?

These questions and more are what keep me coming to this blog.

-moogoobAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3904461976821332291.post-66392978174054995512007-06-29T10:41:00.000-04:002007-06-29T10:41:00.000-04:00Funny pictures that would be plain weird, lol.Bria...Funny pictures that would be plain weird, lol.

BrianAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
